New Student fare is effective January 2nd
We’ve cut the Student fare on ARTS buses to $1 per student each
way, just in time for the spring semester at Amador County schools.
We hope this will help families with their transit needs in the new year.
Please have your high school student prepared to show a school or state ID card.
If you already purchased $2 tickets, these may be redeemed for two, $1
tickets at ARTS’ headquarters, 11400 American Legion Drive, No. B, Jackson
(Sutter Hill near the American Legion Hall). If you have a question, please call

  • Persons 60 years & older $1.00
  • Premium charge for Rancho Murieta  50¢
  • Amador County to Sacramento  $5.00
  • Books of prepaid tickets available as follows:

PUBLIC NOTICE ~ FARE INCREASE

The Amador Regional Transit System (ARTS) Board of Directors will hold a public hearing during their regular monthly meeting at 6:00 p.m. on August 20, 2008 in the Amador County Board of Supervisors' chambers, Amador County Administration Building, 801 Court Street, Jackson California, 95642. The purpose of the public hearing will be to take public comment regarding a potential increase in bus fares charged by Amador Regional Transit System.

Due to increasing fuel costs and diminishing revenue sources, the ARTS Board will consider increasing fares by as much as 100 per cent, effective September 1, 2008. Members of the public wishing to address the board on this issue are encouraged to appear in person at this time. The board will also give full consideration to any written comments which may be sent to the following address: Amador Regional Transit System, 11400 American Legion Dr, Jackson, CA 95642. Any persons wishing to attend the meeting who require public transportation may call 223 2877 to make advance arrangements no later than 4:30 p.m. August 18, 2008.
